An Incredible Week at Manzanita Elementary!
Dear Manzanita Families,
What an incredible week it has been for our Mustang community! Our students truly shone in so many ways, and we are so proud of everything they accomplished.
The week kicked off on Monday with our 5th Grade Band Concert — our oldest musicians delivered an impressive performance that had us all smiling. On Tuesday, our 4th and 5th grade orchestra students took the stage and wowed us with their talent and hard work. That same day, our 4th graders strummed their hearts out in a delightful ukulele performance, and our 3rd graders showed off their recorder skills in a charming performance of their own.
Wednesday marked a truly special milestone — our very first Kinder Play Date! We were so excited to welcome our incoming kindergarten students and their families to campus for a chance to connect, explore, and build friendships before the new school year begins. It was a joy to see the smiling faces of our future Mustangs and know that our community is already growing stronger!
Thursday brought a heartfelt Volunteer Breakfast, where we had the joy of celebrating the amazing families and community members who give their time and energy to support our school. You make Manzanita the special place it is — thank you!
We closed out the week in true Mustang fashion on Friday with our final Mustang Round Up assembly, a wonderful celebration of school spirit and community. And to top it all off, our 3rd graders wrapped up the week with an exciting Arizona State Museum event, bringing history and learning to life in a memorable way.
Thank you to our talented students, dedicated teachers, and supportive families for making this such a remarkable week. We are so proud to be your Manzanita community!
With gratitude,
Rob Henikman
