First Week of School ☑️-WE DID IT!
One of the sweetest sight you ever did see happened on our first day of school. As Mr. Henikman posted that day, several of our Kindergarten families met in the library after drop off for coffee and kleenex to use for their cheers and tears. It just so happened that the Kindergarteners were walking from their playground to their classrooms at the same time we met. Parents felt all the emotions together as they watched their little ones from the library windows and got to know each other. We were so happy to bring back this event and appreciate those that showed up!
Another thank you to all those that participated in our Ice Night at Jeremiah's. It was fun to see so many of you there. I heard great feedback on having it on an early release day, with a longer time window, and everyone enjoyed cooling down with Jeremiah's sweet treat options. We appreciate Stephanie Zwaga and Katie Castillo, our Dine Out chairs, for making that happen! We should know our earnings by our next FFO meeting!
Still floored by the amazing turnout for our informal, informational meeting on Friday. It was great to see familiar faces and meet so many new ones, all eager to help our special school community. If you missed the meeting, here's the slideshow for you to check out:

We are looking forward to seeing families again this week (and next) at our Curriculum Nights! We will have Spirit Wear for sale, so feel free to bring cash or check to buy Manzanita shirts or hats in person.
Finally, a special shout out to those that helped make Kindergarten drop off and dismissal happen: Honey Pie, Brenna Rheinheimer, Tina Ienna-Balistreri, Dana Goldstein, Emmy Marshall, Kristin Michels, Leslie Mokhtarian, Jessica Papariella, and Matt Landau! It is one of the most stressful parts of the week for the teachers, so your helping hands made such a difference.
Here's to a calmer second week, friends!
❤️💙
